There has been a significant increase in the use of fabric formwork, especially in projects along the coast and on the seabed. The main reason for this growing interest has been greater awareness of woven fabrics made from high-strength multifilament synthetic fibers, which offer a wide range of applications, long service life, and easy installation.
What is a Concrete Mattress?
A concrete mattress is a flexible cover used for stabilizing embankments, slopes, and riverbanks. It is suitable for erosion and flood control, dam construction, capping of contaminated materials, and a variety of underwater concrete works. In addition, concrete mattresses can be used for the protection and covering of pipelines.
The mattresses are constructed with spacer threads that connect the upper and lower layers, ensuring a uniform thickness once filled with concrete. The standard width is 5 meters, and we offer thicknesses ranging from 10 to 33 cm – corresponding to unit weights from 220 to 750 kg/m².

INCOMAT® STANDARD
The Incomat Standard concrete mattress has a wide range of applications as erosion protection where flowing water causes problems with material erosion.

INCOMAT® FILTERPOINT
Incomat Filterpoint provides the ideal erosion control solution for applications exposed to low hydraulic loads that require a permeable concrete mattress. The mattress consists of a two-layer woven fabric, with the two woven layers joined by an even distribution of integrated filter points. The mattress adapts to the bed profile, thereby reducing the risk of void formation beneath the cover.

The Incomat Pipeline Cover (IPC) can be used where pipelines require protection against mechanical impacts or buoyancy. The IPC system stands out for its fast and efficient installation. Due to the quick assembly and optimized concreting process, it also helps to accelerate project progress.
