Mørenot’s Injector Sparrow Flex trawl doors are proving their efficiency and reliability across multiple vessels, with captains reporting improved stability, optimized trawl spread, and reduced fuel consumption.

Mørenot’s Injector trawl doors are continuing to demonstrate their reliability and efficiency across various fishing operations. Several vessels have recently been equipped with new trawl doors, and feedback from captains and crews has been overwhelmingly positive.

Sakkak GR.8-002 – Greenland Shrimp Fishing

In January, the vessel Sakkak GR.8-002 in Greenland received a set of Injector Shark trawl doors (5.0m² / 1,700 kg) and Injector Sparrow trawl doors (4.75m² / 1,700 kg). Operating in shrimp fishing year-round, Sakkak relies on durable and efficient gear to maintain productivity. Mørenot has had a strong partnership with Nukki Trawl A/S for over 15 years, supplying trawl doors that meet the demands of tough Arctic conditions.

Therney

On February 3rd, the vessel Therney was equipped with a brand-new set of Injector Sparrow trawl doors (13m² / 5,800 kg). Captain Addi had high praise for the doors, calling them “the best doors I’ve ever worked with.” Known for their stability, efficiency, and reliability, these trawl doors are designed to optimize performance and reduce fuel consumption in demanding fisheries.

Hulda Björnsdóttir GK-11, Optimized for Stability

Another recent installation took place on the Hulda Björnsdóttir GK-11, which is now operating withInjector Sparrow trawl doors (9.0m² / 4,200 kg) and an Injector Clump (6,200 kg / 2.8m long). Featuring a four-leg backside chain, this setup provides excellent stability, allowing for smoother operation and better control. The skipper has expressed great satisfaction with the performance, highlighting how well the doors adapt to different conditions at sea.

Jóhanna Gísladóttir GK-357 – A Returning Customer

The Icelandic vessel Jóhanna Gísladóttir GK-357 recently added a second set of Injector Sparrow Flex trawl doors (5.0m² / 2,500 kg) to their operation. Their decision to invest in another set reflects their satisfaction with the first, reinforcing the reliability of Mørenot’s gear. The doors provide an optimal trawl spread and adapt well to varying depths and conditions.
