Mørenot Fishery and Vónin Refa to Merge into Mørenot Refa AS

The Hampidjan Group plans to consolidate its fishery-related operations in Norway into one company. This is being done partly in response to challenging market conditions, including low fishing quotas and significant sanctions affecting the Russian market, but also as a consequence of the ongoing restructuring of the Group’s aquaculture-related activities, which are now being consolidated under Eldi Aqua Holding AS. Through this initiative, the Group aims to strengthen its market position and improve the efficient use of resources.

About the Merger

This means that Mørenot Fishery AS and Vónin Refa AS are planned to be merged into one company under the name Mørenot Refa AS. The objective is for the merger to be formally completed by 1 January 2027, while the restructuring work will begin already in Q3 2026. At Nor-Fishing in August, the companies will participate with a joint stand.

All business relationships will continue as before, and we will provide further information when invoice addresses and similar details are to be changed. In the longer term, we are working to ensure that Mørenot Refa AS becomes an even stronger partner for you.

Notification of the planned merger was submitted to Nasdaq Iceland on 30 June 2026.
