MøreNot Dyrkorn has delivered lines and equipment to fishermen for 100 years

The area around 62 ° north, off the Norwegian coast, has always had a strong and active line fishing environment. Dyrkorn was established precisely to produce and deliver equipment to the linefishing fleet, which eventually went even farther away from home. Together with fishermen, we created a development environment that eventually also involved research, and Dyrkorn became the world leader in the line fishing area.

Dyrkorn lines are used for coastal longline fishing and longline fishing in deep waters. As the longline fishing has become more industrialised, and larger and larger values are at stake, Dyrkorn's close contact with shipowners and fishermen has just had an even bigger impact.

Swivel lines work best

Experience shows that swivel long lines increase catches with 20 - 40%, depending on fishing conditions.

Swivel longlines are delivered in sizes from 3.5mm to 11.5mm. Between these extremes we adjust the lines to a larger and lesser degree, adapted to each vessel and the type of fishing being carried out.

All cordage is manufactured and treated by ourselves. Most of the lines are tar-treated, but we also supply lines treated sith seed oil, acrylic or other forms of processing.

Dyrkorn's swivel system is designed for maximum strength and durability - a solution that also provides less wear and maintenance. To ensure that you get a superior product, we have developed our own swivels, clips, hooks, snoods and stoppers, in a selection that enables us to deliver lines, rigged or unrigged, just the way you want them.

Dyrkorn uses nothing but stainless steel in swivels, clips and stoppers. The result is increased strength and no corrosion.

Read-rigged lines

Efficiency requirements on board have resulted in higher demand for ready-rigged lines. We do this according to your requirements and specifications with regard to spacing, length of snood and size and type of hooks.

An assorted needs stock is the foundation for rapid delivery worldwide

Our staff have extensive experience and hands-on knowledge of commercial fishing. They know what the operation costs are for a modern longliner, and they are always willing to do their best for our customers.

All rope production and assembly is done at our own facilities. This represents an advantage both for routine deliveries and for the really urgent jobs - whether it concerns lines or special ropes.
