Roar Ristesund is MøreNot's new sales manager on
the Norwegian market. He had his debut at the Aqua Nor exhibition
in Trondheim 16th-19th of August.
At the show, MøreNot also introduced their new database,
which will make the day-to-day running of the fish farm
easier.
Roar Ristesund has a background from fishing and aquaculture. He
is also educated within aquaculture and export marketing. In his
career he has been working towards key personnel in today's leading
aquaculture companies.
"We are very happy to have Ristesund joining our team,
especially since he already knows the industry and the people very
well. Through hiring him we wish to increase our sales activities
against existing and new customers", says Aquaculture's division
manager Bente Lund Jacobsen.
Ristesund is very positive to start working for a company that
shows good results.
"MøreNot is a concept for everyone along the coast, and I look
forward to keep building the brand. On the other hand, MøreNot has
made a lot of strategically correct choices by acquiring companies
over the last few years. I wish to strengthen the company's
position", says Ristesund.
Well represented
MøreNot invited all fish farmers to their stand at the
exhibition and also to their customers gatherings. The stand was
well represented by key-personnel from companies within the group,
national and international, and the fish farmers found their way to
the stand.
New database for components
MøreNot presented its new web-based database for components at
the show, MøreNot Main Component Database.
The system is designed for maintenance and tracking of the main
components on a site, which are included in the NYTEK statutory and
NS 9415. "The feedback so far has been very positive", says
Jacobsen.
The database will solve a lot of the challenges the fish farmers
face in regards to maintenance. It simplifies the process of
keeping up to date with the main components on the farm in regards
to inspection, certification and time to change the components.
Increased capacity
Lately, the MøreNot group has increased it capacity on the
assembly of new nets.
"Our Chinese partner has just finished a new building for
assembling nets. This means that we have doubled the production
capacity in China. We can now offer shorter delivery time on future
orders", says Jacobsen.
