Alsaker Fjordbruk chooses MøreNot Karmsund as their supplier of fish farm nets for 2011. The order marks a positive start to the New Year for MøreNot Karmsund.

Alsaker Fjordbruk is one of the leading companies within salmon farming, located in Onarheim in the municipality of Tysnes in Norway. The company is very well represented along the Norwegian coastline in both Hordaland and Rogaland County, including activities in Kvinnherad, Bømlo, Etne, Haugesund, Sveio, Suldal and Ålvik. The company has had a business relationship with MøreNot since 1997.

"We are focused on quality and price when choosing our suppliers. After a successful cooperation with MøreNot for many years, we know that they deliver high quality products. Thus, it was natural to select them in this tender process since their prices also were competitive," says Hans Helge Vik, Operations Manager at Alsaker Fjordbruk. 

Quality and competition

MøreNot Karmsund has noticed that the competition for the customers has hardened. It is therefore even more enjoyable to win a tender competition, especially with a customer like Alsaker Fjordbruk.

"Alsaker Fjordbruk is a reputable fish-farming company with a lot of competent and respected professionals. The fact that they chose to enter into a contract with us is a statement of trust that represents an important signal within the fish-farming network. At the same time it confirms that we are competitive in regards to price, says Helge Holgersen, Production Manager at MøreNot Karmsund.

Most of the nets included in the delivery are to be produced in China.

"All the nets are antifouled and will receive a final quality inspection at MøreNot in Norway. Since the production of nets in China is relatively new, it is nice to see that our customers have confidence in our products," says Holgersen.
