The MøreNot subsidiary Net Services Shetland has signed
an agreement with Marine Harvest in Scotland to supply nylon net
for 2011 and 2012. The agreement has a potential value of more than
NOK 8 million.
Marine Harvest is Scotland's largest fish farming company. The
new contract consolidates Net Services Shetland's (NSS) position in
the Scottish market as a very important supplier. NSS has been the
preferred supplier to Marine Harvest Scotland since 2008.
"This contract is of great importance to us, and has secured
another two years work for NSS to supply all Marine Harvest
Scotland new nylon nets for 2011 and 2012, including an option on
further work for 2013. In total, we will deliver 100 nets during
the contractual period," says CEO of NSS, David Goodlad.
Today, Marine Harvest has an agreement with NSS regarding net
maintenance until 2014. It was this collaboration that constituted
the basis for the new contract.
"We are very pleased to extend our nylon net supply agreement
with Net Services. Since 2008 both companies have worked well
together to improve net design, containment and net servicing
within Scotland and this new order allows us to continue to build
on such initiatives creating value for our seawater farming
operations in Scotland," says Seawater Production Manager of Marine
Harvest, Scotland, Ben Hadfield.
